FIELD SUPERINTENDENT - STRUCTURAL STEEL/PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDINGS

Hansen-Rice, Inc., a nationwide general contractor, is seeking a Field Superintendent to direct the construction of our projects located throughout the U.S.  Must have five plus (5+) years, structural steel/pre-engineered metal building hands-on construction experience. Fast paced, team oriented company

The Superintendent will supervise, coordinate, and ensure the timely construction of projects located throughout the U.S.   Will be responsible for field crew management, client relations and satisfaction, job supervision.. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of excellence with regard to safety and quality, inspecting job sites for conformance to requirements. Position will require hands-on work as needed.  Ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with clients, crews, vendors, subcontractors, and all departments within the company.   

The individual awarded this position will have a “Can-Do” attitude, be a quick learner, and possess the drive to succeed.   Minimum Qualifications Required:

1.  Travel and work on Nationwide assignments required – Road Warrior.
2.  Hands-on structural steel/pre-engineered metal building construction experience.
3.  Well developed knowledge of construction principles. 4.   Strong commitment and attention to safety and quality.
5.   Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
6.   Keen scheduling ability.
7.  Ability to read and understand blueprints.
8.  Skilled in the operation of construction equipment (rigging and cranes, forklifts and aerial
     equipment).
9.  Detail oriented with strong recordkeeping skills.

LEADMEN/FOREMEN - STRUCTURAL STEEL/PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDINGS

Hansen-Rice, Inc., a nationwide general contractor, is seeking experienced Leadmen/Foremen for constructing quality buildings on our projects located throughout the U.S.  Will assist the Steel Superintendent in the coordination and supervision of crews, materials and schedule maintenance.  Must have structural steel/pre-engineered metal building hands-on construction experience. Fast paced, team oriented company.  We offer a very competitive compensation and benefit package.

The individual awarded this position will have a “Can-Do” attitude, be a quick learner, and possess the drive to succeed.   

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Travel and work on Nationwide assignments required – Road Warrior.
  • Hands-on structural steel/pre-engineered metal building construction experience.

  • Good communication skills; written and verbal.  Bi-lingual skills an asset (English-Spanish).
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Certified welder preferred.

  • Detail oriented.


Physical Requirements:

  • Bending/stooping, squatting, crawling, reaching above shoulders, kneeling and twisting
  • Ability to navigate work sites.
  • Ascending to and descending from heights up to or over 100' by use of permanent or temporary stairs, ladders, aerial lifts or use of personnel hoists.
  • Periodic lifting of construction materials of various weights and sizes.  May involve lifting above shoulders.
  • Standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Vision abilities include close and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Operate, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Hearing at levels of normal speech.
  • Outdoor work in all types of weather and project site conditions.
  • Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, work boots. gloves, etc.).
