HRI Appoints New Director, Food & Beverage Program


Taylor Ebright, Executive Vice President, recently announced the appointment of Nghia Tran, PMP as Director, Food & Beverage.  Nghia is the firm’s newest member of their leadership team and his background brings a diverse wealth of engineering expertise that will further enhance our offering towards client’s projects and future development.

“Nghia Tran is a powerful addition to the Hansen-Rice design/build team.” Stated Burke Hansen, principal of the firm. “His career is marked by sensible decisions in managing risk that will deliver great results for our clients.  As an engineering manager, he has been a leader in finding ways to collaborate on complex large CAPEX food processing and beverage projects. Nghia has an excellent understanding of the unique design challenges facing the food processing industries ever changing regulatory compliance” added Hansen.  Nghia’s experience spans all stages of the design/build process, from developing feasibility studies and conceptual layouts to overseeing design, construction and commissioning of the final project.

Prior to joining Hansen-Rice, Nghia held the position of Engineering Manager, at WhiteWave Foods and Senior Design Manager at Nestle’ Waters North America. During his tenure with White Wave and Nestle’, Nghia developed CAPEX food processing projects up to $150 million in facility design and construction value. He developed conceptual and sustainable designs (LEED certification) standards and alternative energy objectives; prepared cost estimates and budgets; coordinated packaging, process and utilities design and site development; performed site selection and due diligence; including final site inspections, system commissioning and USGBC LEED certifications. 

Nghia attended University of Colorado, earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
